Artem asked:
I’m about to buy an inflatable boat (not decided about size and shape yet but this is not the point right now) and since I’m new to boating I’m a bit confused. I made some researches and that’s what I found, the outboard motors are VERY expensive, 900+ it’s toooo much for me right now and trolling motors are not only not powerful (this is not a big problem since I don’t need high speed) but they used to brake down too often.
So what should I choose and what should I do? Maybe there’s some good brands? Oh and btw I’m fishing in the ocean in bays (not open ocean).

That one black motor
This is a listing site for used outboard motors. With a small inflatable, if you go over 15 horsepower you’re going to destroy your boat. I’d suggest between 5 to 10 horsepower. Good brand is Mercury (I’ve got a Mercury 80 horsepower outboard on my 15 foot fiberlglass trihull and it’s bloody fast.)
With you fishing in ocean bays, I would also suggest looking for an engine specified as having a short shaft (will help you get into the shallows a bit easier.)
