MotorGuide build their first trolling motor in 1961 and was started by G.H. Harris. They have a variety of styles to choose from including the saltwater wireless series that used wireless foot pedals.
As time went on, MotorGuide engineers worked on improving the trolling motor and developed the super MotorGuide. It used transistors to produce the variable speeds and made a huge impact.
In 1984, Brunswick Corporation bought MotorGuide and it became part of the Zebco line.
