It’s all based on RPMs and what you want to catch. The faster you troll, the bigger the fish (because the slower fish can’t catch up). You want to go about 1 or 2 knots (1 or 2 mph) on fresh water.
it’ll troll just fine. i have one.
why are you replacing the old one? the new might use more battery quicker.
