upschidtcreek52 asked:

I have a 12ft alum. fishing boat that I want to wire for navigation lights, trolling motor, fish finder, and a couple of acc. outlets. I am putting the battery in the front of the boat. What wire size should I use to power a “panel” at the back of the boat for these things? The motor for the boat is not electric start.
The trolling motor and motor without electric start are 2 different motors.

I have a 70 HP Mariner outboard motor. My problem is that sometimes it will not run at full throttle?

steve h asked:

I will have the throttle wide open. It won’t completely die, but it will just barely move the boat at trolling speed. Then suddenly it will kick back in and run fine for awhile. Then the cycle repeats.

flyfisher asked:

I’m interested in being able to take it on small local lakes, as well as trailer it up to big lakes like Rainy. I’m thinking a 16ft Lund w/ motor& trailer for around $2000. I want to be able to throw the wife, kid, and gear in and go for 4 night camping trips.

How do I find the year a boat was made?

cookie asked:

I bought a starcraft 12ft jon boat at a yard sale .I tried to get nos. for it at DMV, they said I had to have the year it was made, and what it cost when it was new. How do I get this info? Iknow it has set around for at least the last 20 yrs. All i want to do is put a trolling motor on it and go fishing. The serial no. is 64-8207, it is a starcraft pram.
I just found out it is a 1964. What would this cost when it was new?

What motor should I use for my boat?

Artem asked:

I’m about to buy an inflatable boat (not decided about size and shape yet but this is not the point right now) and since I’m new to boating I’m a bit confused. I made some researches and that’s what I found, the outboard motors are VERY expensive, 900+ it’s toooo much for me right now and trolling motors are not only not powerful (this is not a big problem since I don’t need high speed) but they used to brake down too often.
So what should I choose and what should I do? Maybe there’s some good brands? Oh and btw I’m fishing in the ocean in bays (not open ocean).
